An Ocean of Ink
The final stanza of the old gospel hymn "The Love of God" is said to have been found scrawled on the wall of a cell in an insane assylum. If this is correct, someone who was considered "insane" was definitely mislabeled. I'm sure we're all familiar with the words:
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the sky of parchment made;
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trde,
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky!
