I know Bobby D isn't known as a Christian musician, but he does have spiritual themes in his lyrics
At bible study, we were discussing Abraham, and god's request that he sacrifice his son It reminded me of the lyrics in "Highway 61" Oh God said to abraham kill me a son Abe said man you must be puttin me on God said no, abe said what God say you can do what you wanna but The next time you see me comin you better run Well abe said where dyou want this killin done God said out on highway 61 |

Hey folks new here but we seem to be
new every time we find a new page I am learning a BD tune called "last thing on my mind". I am Christian but not sure what type anymore, I seem to be not sure where I fit in Anyway I am solid in faith and will neverdeny Jesus no matter what so i am happy with my faith ![]() I like music but when I get involved with Christians I feel like they only sing Christian tunes and it is "ok" to do some of that "other stuff" now and then (like once a year) but let's not make a habit of it. Should I worry as to if the person that composed the song was "born again" and heck how do I know if they are or were Chrstian? What about Civil war tunes (WHICH I LOVE) how do I know the fella or gal was not a Christian that composted them? Am I a sinner in that way? Can I play and enjoy tunes and not worry about that? Just not sure anymore...I just like music that's all. Life is so full of nit pick it seems...sorry to rant |
